Memoryhaus 555
For 4 years off of Figueroa and Adams, Memoryhaus 555 served as the headquarters for ITS-IN-SCOPE archive caretakers and studio residents in Historic South Central Los Angeles. Operating as a community archive, creative studio, gallery, library, tearoom, cinemahaus, and so much more, the intimate space provided countless moments of connection, birthed new relationships, and provided a model for cooperative placemaking in Los Angeles’ arts ecosystem.
This portal was closed in December 2024 commemorating the 5-year anniversary of ITS-IN-SCOPE and inspiring new placemaking possibilities.
