6.5 oz, 100% recycled cotton longsleeve tee featuring the ‘Freedom Farmers’ design hypothesis on the front and back. 99.5% biodegradable. Knit, cut, sewn, and printed in South Central Los Angeles.

Design Hypothesis:

1963, Freedom Ballot: A 3-day mock election designed by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) to demonstrate the interest and ability of Black voters and the scale of voter suppression. Nearly 80,000 mock ballots were submitted by Black Mississippians, 4x the number registered to vote.

1964, Freedom Summer: A 10-week summer program organized by SNCC that established resources for Black Mississippians, inclusive of voluntary summer schools, libraries, and voter registration.

1964/1965, Freedom Primer No. 1: The convention challenge and the Freedom Vote by Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party

1967: Fannie Lou Hamer founds the Freedom Farmers Cooperative as a community-based rural and economic development project.
