Open Studio: Screen-Printing (6/21/25)
Time is fake, new date, same vibe! Join us Saturday, June 21st for a skills-sharing workshop and people’s propaganda printmaking experience from 1-4pm at Legacy Library, 6533 West Blvd Inglewood, CA.
Here’s how the open studio works, from 1-4pm:
Bring up to two cotton garments of your choosing (t-shirt, sweater, etc).
Watch a screen printing demo facilitated by Marvin James.
Print your own one-of-one material artifacts with an ITS-IN-SCOPE design hypothesis.
The event is free to attend and $10 to print, your support empowers us to continue in our self-determined contemporary archiving practice.
This printmaking workshop is offered in support of Rasheedah Phillip’s book talk for ‘Dismantling the Master's Clock: On Race, Space, and Time’ at Black Lantern Books from 6-8pm. Feel free to hangout after our open studio, there will be snacks, beverages, books and vibes. If you’d like to RSVP for the book talk please do so here.
